The Champ udtaget in the reserve for the Young Horse Championship

The average points was enough to be in the reserve for the Young Horse Championship in Herning 2013 in connection with the big stallion show. The Champ participated in the stallion show in 2011. The Champ is bred and owned by the stud.

Don Spirit sold to Belgium

Helgstrand has purchased a part of Tirana

Andreas Helgstrand has purchased a part in Tirana. This is a cooperation that we are looking forward to and very happy about.

Andreas Helgstrand is also looking forward to beginning the work with the very talented young mare. It is a very nice and loose horse to look at, walk, trot and canter are all superb, it radiates "here-I-come" when it enters the arena, and then it looks like it has the right amount of nerves, explains Andreas Helgstrand, who is also looking forward to cooperating with Gitte Søgaard and Povl Hove in this agreement.

Andreas Helgstrand is expecting to ride Tirana himself, and he is also taking care of the education and showing of the mare, and he explains that first of all the goal will be the world championships for young horses.

TIRANA THE BEST DRESSAGE MARE 2012

Tirana at the Elite Spectacle. This years best dressage mare and this was awarded with a gold medal.Tirana was announced this years best dressage mare in Danish Warmblod association at the Elite Spectacle 2012.
At the site www.varmblod.dk she is described as follows:

This years best dressage mare, was the best 2 year old mare form last year, Tirana, from Povl Hove and Gitte Søgaard in Snedsted. Tirana herself is from a medalpraised marestrain, and is bred on the goldmedalmare Crelita. The judges described the mare in praising words such as "A mare of a spectacular type. She glows of international capacity and is moving with great action and a constant up-hill tendency." The mare recieved pure points of 10.0 for her type, topline and general impression.
Tirana achieved a splendid goldmedal. She got the following characteristic:
" A wonderful reunion with the 2 year old mare of the year, that has developed very positively since last year. An excellent type all the way through with international capacity. She is appropriate noble, harmonious and feminine with a well-set neck and a large saddle passage. She is very flexible in her topline and has strong and well positioned limbs. She has a very flexible movement with strong hing-legs and great kneeaction. She moves with a nice up-hill movement.
She shares the highest test result of the year with one other horse at an average of 8.95. She is selected with 10.0 in general impression, topline and type.
A wonderful horse all the way and an amazing experience it is to announce her the best dressage mare of the year. Tirana is after Talormade Temptation. Dam is goldmedalmare Crelita, grandsire Crelido. Tirana is the 5 th generation at the stud.

Cassandra achieved a spectacular silvermedal

Silvermedalmare Cassandra, owner Poul Vestergaard and Povl.3 year old mare Cassandra achieved a silvermedal at the Elite Spectacle. Cassandra obtained at the summers saddle selections an average of 8.75 in jumping and 8.04 in dressage. Cassandra is after Crelido and dam is the RDH mare Weltinde, grandsire being Weltjunge. The granddam of Cassandra is Female, which is also the great granddam of Tirana. Cassandra is therefore bred from the strong marestrain of the stud. A sister of Cassandra achieved a bronzemedal at the last years Elite Spectacle.
Cassandra was shown in the dressage discipline and here she got applauses for her powerfull hindlegs and her up-hill tendencies in canter together with her strong points in both jumping and dressage. Owner is Poul Vestergaard, Hundborg. We wish him congratulations with the results.

2 year old mare Céquina showed at the Elite Spectacle

2 year old mare Céquina at the Elite Spectacle.2 year old mare Céquina was shown at the Elite Spectacle in the category of jumping mares. She achived the following points; Type: 8.0, Frames: 8.0, Canter: 8.0, General impression: 8.0, jumping technique: 8.0 and jumping capacity: 8.5. She was described as a feminime, high postured mare with big frames, but a little too composited. Furthermore it was also commented that she jumped a bit hectic, but with great capacity. Cequina is after Crelido, dam is RDH mare A-rinna and grandsire is Akinos. Cequina is bred and owned by the stud.

At the saddle selection in Region 6 in Ikast the 24 th of August Tirana was chosen as the best dressage mare. Tirana achieved the following points; Walk: 9.5, Trot: 9.5, Canter: 9.0, Rideability: 8.5, Capacity: 9.5 and from the testrider; Rideability: 8.0, Capacity: 8.5. For general impression she was awarded with 9.0 and was furthermore given the comment from the judges, that she was a mare with international format.
Tirana ended the day with the highest test results and was also selected for the Elite Spectacle.
Tirana is after the stud`s goldmedalmare Crelita and sire is Talormade Temptation. Granddam is bronzemedalmare Akita and great granddam is Female, which is also selected with a bronzemedal and has achieved a silvermedal for her breeding collection. Tirana was furthermore the best 2 year old dressage mare of her generation.

Cassandra selected for the Elite Spectacle at Vilhelmsborg

3 year old Cassandra also showed at the 1-day trials in Ikast and here she was selected for the Elite Spectacle in dressage.Cassandra was selected for the Elite Spectacle at the saddle selection in Region 6. Cassandra was showed in the 1-day trials where she achieved an average of 8.04 in the category of dressage mares. Cassandra is after Crelido and dam is Weltinde, with granddam being the elitemare Female (selected with a bronzemedal and a silvermedal for her breeding collection). Female is furthermore great granddam for Tirana (see the above). Cassandra is bred and owned by Poul Vestergaard, Hundborg. We wish the owner congratulations with the results and we will see each other at the Elite Spectacle in September.

Two newly selected RDH mares achieved several 9`s at competition day

At the selections at Vilhelmsborg the stud showed 2 mares. The mare Cassandra achieved two times 8.5 in rideability, 8.0 in jumping canter and two times 9 for jumping technique and capacity in the loose jumping discipline. Cassandra is after Crelido with grandsire Weltjunge. A big congratulatons to the owner Poul Vestergaard, Hundborg. The other mare was Cindarella. She achieved an amazing 9.0 for rideability from the testrider together with 8.0 for her canter. Cindarella is after Crelido, dam is bronzemedalmare Akita, grandsire is Akinos. The co-owner of this horse togehter with the stud is Bente Korsgaard.

Corinna achieved a total of 90% in the program for 5 year olds

Bronzemedalmare Corinna and Natasja Van den Bogaert achieved a staggering 90% in the FEI program for 5 year olds. The points was; Trot: 9.2, Walk: 9.5, Canter: 9.8, Rideability: 7.5, Capacity and general impression: 9.0. The Dutch judge commented furthermore that Corinna was a Grand Prix horse in the making. A huge congratulations to the equipage. It is a pleasure to follow their results here from Denmark. Corinna is owned and bred by the stud. Sire is Crelido and dam is the elite- and bronzemare Larinna, grandsire Loran.

Hove´s Zako in the finals

The foal Hove´s Zako achieved an amazing 5 th position in the finals.Our foal Hove`s Zako achieved an amazing 5 th position in the categori of dressage stallion foals at the Blue Horse foal championships at the 30 th of June. The judges complimented him for his strong topline and the fact that he was moving specially well in all three paces. Zako is after Blue Horse Zack, dam is elite- and bronzemare Female, grandsire is Fernando. We would like to thank Blue Horse for a successful and fun day.

Céquina selected for the Elite Spectacle

2 year old mare Cequina selected for the elite spectacle in jumping.Our 2 year old mare Cequina has been selected for the elite spectacle. Cequina participated in the mare spectacle for region 5 and 6 at Stald Touborg located in Viborg at the 3 rd of June. Here she was selected from the mares participating in the jumping discipline. Sire is Crelido, the elitestallion of 2012, dam i RDH mar A-rinna, which has been included in the breeding program for jumping horses in Denmark. Granddam is bronze- and elitemare Larinna.

Larinna is the fifth Elite mare at the stud

Elite mare LarinnaThe stud has now its fifth recognised elite breeding mare.
This is the bronze medal mare Larinna born 12.04.1996. Sire is Loran DVE. Dam is the elite mare Akki (one of the stoc mares) and grandsire is Alibi DVE.
Larinna has 4 RDH selected daughters, A-rinna is a part of the breeding programme for jumping horses, Sorinna and Suprana which are both off-spring by Blue Horse Soprano and Corinna. Corinna is after Crelido and selected with a bronze medal. Currently, Corinna is being ridden in Belgium by a professional rider. Furthermore Larinna has also three son, Cayman, Champ-siin and Creman. These are all with Crelido as sire. Larinna is expecting a foal with Crelido as sire again this year.
